Warrick County residents will be able to get rid of their household hazardous waste materials this April.

It's spring cleaning time! I would be willing to bet that it has been quite some time since you have gone through all of your drawers and cabinets in your house or garage and cleaned them out. Honestly, I couldn't tell you the last time I took the time to look through mine to toss out what I don't use. More importantly, to toss out things that are expired...which I am sure is a surprising amount. There's a lot out in my shed that I need to throw away. A lot of those things are things that you typically can't take to the dump. There is, however, an exception. You can drop off your household hazardous waste in Warrick County on a specific day in April.

I'm talking about household hazardous chemicals such as motor oils and filters, oil-based paint, batteries, aerosol cans, and medications, to name a few. So, if you have some of these items stored away that you need to get rid of, here's your chance.
