The Indiana State Fair is "gearing up" (pun totally intended) for this year's event and it will feature a few iconic vehicles from movies and TV shows we grew up with.

This year's theme for the Fair is "Fun at the Speed of Summer" which is designed to celebrate the state's automotive history and contributions to the automobile industry. Part of that celebration includes a special exhibit called, "World of Speed!" The exhibit will feature the original Batmobile (pictured at the top) from the TV series starring Adam West as the Caped Crusader that ran for three seasons from 1966 to 1968, along with ECTO-1, the iconic hearse transformed into a ghost-busting machine by Bill Murray, Dan Akroid, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson in the original Ghostbusters film and brought back to life in last year's sequel, Ghostbusters: Afterlife. The exhibit will also feature the grooviest crime-solving van recognized by kids and adults of all ages, The Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo.

In addition to those famous vehicles, each of which is considered stars of their respective shows and movies, "World of Speed!" will also feature a collection of classic cars from the early 1900s that all have ties to the Hoosier State, and a hands-on experience called, "SPEED: Science in Motion" that will allow you to see how you stack up against the competition as a Formula-1 race car driver.

Of course, no celebration of Indiana's impact on the automotive world would be complete without a nod to "the greatest spectacle in racing," the Indy 500.
