Keep Evansville Beautiful and Clean Evansville invite volunteers to come out on the first Saturday of each month to help pick up trash in different areas of the city. This Saturday, Clean Evansville Volunteers will target areas in Ward 4 on Evansville’s South from 9am-11am. The teams will gather at locations near Anthony Oates Park. The park is located in the 2300 block of S. Lodge Avenue.

Teams are assigned to pick up trash and litter in the following locations; Lodge Avenue, from Covert to Lilac; Riverside Drive, from Herbert Avenue to Sunburst Blvd.; Sweetser Avenue, between Lodge and Weinbach Avenue; and Weinbach, from Sweetser to Riverside. Teams will meet at the parking lot at Anthony Oates Park to deposit trash collected during the clean-up.

Clean Evansville partners with Republic Services (formerly Allied Waste) to depose of all trash, and Keep Evansville Beautiful coordinates volunteers for the monthly clean-ups. Anyone interested in joining or forming a team should call Mike McGarrah at 425-4461.
