Haunted New Harmony Ghost Hunts
Periodically Haunted New Harmony will host ghost hunts where they get permission from local places to take participants inside and attempt to score evidence and talk with residents from New Harmony's past.
Recently Haunted New Harmony hosted a few ghost hunts at the Murphy Auditorium which is a well-known local paranormal hotspot.
The Murphy Auditorium was built in 1913, and a lot of local lore surrounds this old building, including the story of a janitor name Gus. According to JoniMayhan.com, legend has it that Gus was cleaning during his normal shift when he fell down a flight of stairs and ended up breaking his neck. Unfortunately, Gus did not survive his injuries and it's said that his spirit still roams around the old auditorium.
