It's Harley Quinn's 26th birthday! Let's celebrate by looking at all the firsts Harley has had.

Harley Quinn made her first appearance on Sept 11th, 1992 in Batman the Animated Series, and has been a fan favorite ever since.

So let's look back at 26 years of firsts from our favorite harlequin, Harley Quinn.

First Appearance: Batman the Animated Series, Sept 11th, 1992
Voiced By: Arleen Sorkin

First Comic Book Appearance: The Batman Adventures #12, Sept 1993

First Video Game Appearance:
Game: The Adventures of Batman & Robin (1994) (Cameo for SNES; Boss for Sega Genesis)
Voiced By: Arleen Sorkin

First Live-Action TV Adaptation:

Actress: Mia Sara (Yup. THAT Mia Sara. AKA: Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Mia Sara)

Before DC shows became as popular as they were today, there was the short lived Birds of Prey. Which featured DC heroes Huntress, Batgirl/Oracle, Black Canary, and a more sinister Dr. Harleen Quinzel. It was a show that came before it's time. Or before we knew how to make action sequences look cool without 50,000 jump cuts and a rock/pop song from a "Mix Tape 2002" collection.

First Lego-Adaptation:
Movie: Lego Batman: The Movie - DC Superheroes Unite (2013)
Voiced By: Laura Bailey

First Live-Action Movie Adaptation:
Movie: Suicide Squad (2016)
Actress: Margot Robbie

So Happy Birthday Harley Quinn! Here's to 26 more years of "firsts"!
