General Motors is recalling more than 600,000 trucks and SUVs because of an issue with the software that could potentially activate the vehicle's braking system. The software problem could result in the vehicle braking without warning, there by increasing the risk for a crash. The recall includes both Chevrolet and GM trucks and SUVs including:

  • 2014-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
  • 2015-2020 Chevrolet Suburban
  • 2015-2020 Chevrolet Tahoe
  • 2014-2018 GMC Sierra 1500
  • 2015-2020 GMC Yukon

According to Consumer Reports, 638,068 vehicles are included in the recall, number N192261050. GM will reprogram the software in affected vehicles free of charge.
