Former Posey County Royalty Competing for Miss America

From Posey County Royalty to Miss Delaware, Hillary May will be competing in The Miss America Competition!

Hillary May is a native of Posey County and a graduate of Mount Vernon High School. In 2014, Hillary was crowned Miss Posey County and her sister was the teen queen! Clearly it runs in the family. Currently Hillary studies at the University of Delaware and is pursuing Ph.D in Education. While in Delaware, Hillary was crowned Miss Delaware  2019 and is now headed to The Miss America Competition! This young lady has big goals and I love them all.

Last week Hillary loaded up her car to head to The Miss America Competition and I was so excited that I got the chance to catch up with Hillary about Miss America and here's what she said about her journey for the competition, "For competition, I will be doing a 10 min private interview, a 2 min live onstage interview, a 90 second talent, and a 90 second social impact pitch. Our social impact initiatives are causes that are very close to us that we work with and would promote throughout our year as Miss America (and through our year as Miss State as well of course). Mine is all about Mental Health Education, specifically for elementary and middle school children!"
