One restaurant on Evansville's westside has just announced its plans to close its doors.

There is no doubt that post pandemic, small businesses across Indiana and beyond have continued to struggled to make ends meet. Many, particularly in the food service industry have been especially hard hit. One area coffee shop and brewery recently petitioned the community for support in hopes of keeping its doors open.

West Side Favorite Bids Farewell

Now a bar and grill on the west side of the city has announced it will shutter its operation. Fool Moon Grill and Bar made the announcement today on its Facebook page.

Saying Goodbye After 15 Years

Located off of Pearl Drive, across from the AMC theater, Fool Moon has been in operation for several years, first opening its doors in 2009, but today they say it is "with a heavy heart" that they announce plans to close the restaurant.

It is with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closure of Fool Moon. Our last day to be open will be July 21st. We truly want to thank all of our loyal customers throughout the last 15 years. We are very proud of the company we have built, but it is time for us to move on. Please continue to support our staff during this transitional time and dine on some delicious food at the same time. While they do not cite a specific reason behind the closure, we can only assume that the continued rise in the cost of goods and services seen across the nation play a role in the decision to close its doors.
