City of Evansville Offering Lunch Shuttles to West Side Nut Club Fall Festival
If you want to head to annual West Side Nut Club Fall Festival this year but would prefer to avoid hassle of the traffic and finding a place to park, the City of Evansville will be offering a lunchtime shuttle service.
Fall Festival Traffic Can Be Overwhelming
As much as there is to love about the annual festivities on Evansville's west side, perhaps getting down there can be one of the greatest challenges. Whether you don't want to deal with the traffic, or you just don't have a ride, the City of Evansville is offering an affordable solution the week of the festival.

Special Lunch Shuttle To and From Fall Festival
Beginning Monday, October 7, 2024, and continuing through Friday, October 11, 2024, the City of Evansville will be offering shuttle rides to and from the 103rd Fall Festival taking place along West Franklin Street.
Standard METS Bus Fare Will Take You to Franklin Street
The lunch shuttle will serve residents from 11am - 2pm each of those days. The cost? The price of a standard METS bus fare - making this an affordable alternative to navigating the traffic and parking of the festival.
Details Pick Up and Drop Off Times for Fall Festival Lunch Shuttles
In a statement on the City of Evansville's website, they detail the pickup times, and the route for the Fall Festival Lunch Shuttle. A temporary bus stop will be in place at the corner of West Franklin Street and Wabash Avenue of Flags.
11:00 a.m. thru 2:00 p.m. each day every half hour the shuttle will pick up/drop off from the Westside C.K. Newsome Community Center on the “back 40” parking lot, then at the Civic Center, at the exit of the parking lot at Ninth St., and near the flagpoles on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. The shuttle will pick up/drop off at the Temporary Bus Stop corner of W. Franklin St. and Wabash Ave. on the quarter hour, with the first drop off at 11:15 a.m. the last departure is at 1:45 p.m.
METS Bus Fare Rates
The basic bus fair to ride a METS fixed route is $0.75 per rider. Children age 5 and under ride free (limit 3 children) per paying adult. Student fares are just $0.50 per student rider. Seniors, those who are disabled, and those who posses a Medicare card are eligible for a reduced fare of just $0.35.
