Evansville Regional Airport and the Evansville-Vanderburgh Public Library (EVPL) announce a partnership offering young kids the opportunity at a unique story time experience.

"Second Saturday Stories" makes it debut this Saturday, June 10th, and will feature volunteers from the EVPL reading stories to children between the ages of 3-8 against the backdrop of Evansville Regional Airport, meaning kids will not only be exposed to great stories, but get to watch airplanes land and take off. What kid doesn't love airplanes?

The event runs begins at 10:00 a.m. and will also feature sing-a-longs and robotics, as well as aviation and airplane-themed arts and crafts.

Mallorie Cloum with the EVPL, who stopped by the studio to discuss the program on Thursday, said those interested in attending can park in the airport parking lot, and will receive parking validation at the conclusion of the event to avoid being charged for their space.

Cloum also said, despite the program being aimed toward children between the ages of 3-8, the event is open to families and kids of all ages.

As the name states, the program will occur on the second Saturday of each month. For more information, contact Lauren at the EVPL 812-428-8234.
