The Evansville Police Department extended their sympathies to the Boulder Police Department with a small act of kindness, doughnuts.   Parlor Doughnuts in Evansville has four locations around the U.S. (plus 3 more planning to open this spring) including Denver Colorado.  EPD reached out to their Denver location asking to send doughnuts to the Boulder PD on their behalf. Here's what the post from Parlor Doughnuts Facebook page says about the small gesture of kindness:

Our Denver location got a phone call from our friends at the Evansville Police Department this week letting us know that they wanted to send doughnuts to Boulder’s Police Department as a form of comfort and support. We are so incredibly grateful to be a part of this nationwide community!

I can't even fathom what the community of Boulder is feeling right now.  Ten families lives were turned upside down at the actions of one person.   Here are the names of the victims, as I feel it's more important to remember their names than the name of the person who did this:

  • Eric Talley

  • Rikki Olds

  • Kevin Mahoney

  • Lynn Murray

  • Denny Stong

  • Teri Leiker

  • Tralona Bartkowiak

  • Jody Waters

  • Neven Stanisic

  • Suzanne Fountain

CBS News recently wrote a piece that highlights each victim,  I highly recommend taking a moment to read a little about each one. My heart goes out to their families, their loved ones, an the entire Boulder community.

Our Denver location got a phone call from our friends at the Evansville Police Department this week letting us know that...
