Employees of Garvin Pool arrived at work Thursday morning to find an unpleasant surprise waiting for them under the water.

While details are sketchy at this time, by the looks of the picture below tweeted by the mayor this morning, someone (presumably more than one) jumped the fence surrounding the pool next to Bosse Field and had a field day throwing anything and everything they could get their hands on into the 12-feet deep diving area.

Items included two metal poles anchored by a concrete filled tires that you see commonly used for volleyball nets, an entire picnic table, several folding chairs, and two plastic lounge chairs.

If I understand the law correctly, this type of "criminal mischief" could be considered a Class B Misdemeanor, that has the potential to carry a potential sentence of up to 180 days in jail and fines reaching $1,000.
