Evansville Library Nominated for Leslie B. Knope Award

What an incredible honor to be nominated! The Evansville Public Library has been nominated for the Leslie B. Knope Award. And before you ask - Yes! That Leslie B. Knope from Parks & Recreation. She was Amy Poehler's character in the fictitious town of Pawnee, Indiana on NBC's hit sitcom Parks & Recreation.

People have speculated for years about Pawnee being a spoof of Evansville. I don't know if there is any actual truth to that but if you've ever watched Parks & Rec, you cannot deny the similarities between Pawnee and the 'Ville.
