Evansville Dollar General Store Location Now Offering Fresh Produce

Dollar General recently remodeled one of its Evansville locations, and the changes bring with it the addition of fresh fruits and vegetables to the store's shelves.

Evansville is home to 19 Dollar General Store locations across the city. That isn't counting the additional locations in Newburgh, or Henderson. Recently, one of those stores underwent a remodel.

One Evansville Location Now Selling Fresh Produce

While not a grocery store, the remodel of this particulart store on the city's west side brings with it the addition of fresh produce for customers.

According To The Press Release...

In a press release, Dollar General says that the remodeled store will offer the same categories, brands and products known and trusted by DG customers while also providing an assortment of produce as well.

DG Sells Fresh Fruits & Veggies in More Than 5400 Stores Across US

This is not a new venture entirely for the brand as it has been offering fresh fruits and vegetables in over 5,400 of its stores nationwide. According to the release, this gives DG more "points of produce distribution" than any other United States retailer or grocery chain.

What Produce Can You Find at Dollar General?

So what produce can you expect to find at the newly remodeled Dollar General? The company says consumers will find the "top 20 items typically sold in traditional grocery stores" like

• lettuce
• tomatoes
• onions
• apples
• bananas
• strawberries
• potatoes
• sweet potatoes
• lemones and limes
• salad mixes, and more.

In a statement, Dollar General’s senior vice president of real estate and store development, Matthew Simonsen said, “At Dollar General, we strive to be a positive business partner and good community neighbor in Evansville. Although we are not a grocery store, we believe the addition of produce in our Evansville store highlights our commitment to deliver a pleasant shopping experience that includes affordable prices on quality products in a convenient location.”

The newly remodeled store is located at 11929 Deer Run Road, just off of Indiana Highway 62, west of University of Southern Indiana.
