A Dark Holiday Feast Is Coming to Evansville This Winter
If you love the eerie side of the holiday season, one Evansville business is about to give you the most delightfully twisted celebration of the year. The Nick Nackery is hosting The Court of Krampus, a fully immersive, medieval-themed feast inspired by the old-world legend of Krampusnacht.
Why Krampusnacht Is the Darker Side of Holiday Folklore
This is not a standard holiday dinner. Guests will step inside a dark, candlelit hall where firelight, garland and medieval decor set the mood for a night built around European winter folklore. Krampus, the horned creature from Alpine legend who punishes misbehaving children, will sit enthroned at the head of the room while revelers dine, drink and take in the atmosphere.
What to Expect at Evansville’s Court of Krampus
Organizers describe the evening as a mix of folklore, firelight, and fright with music, immersive characters, and a setting that feels pulled straight out of a shadowy storybook.

How to Dress for the Medieval Krampus Feast
Dark festive attire is highly encouraged. Attendees are invited to interpret winter folklore in their own creatively spooky way. Picture gothic carolers, evil elves, haunted nutcrackers, cursed Saint Nicks, or winter spirits. This is the event for anyone who loves blending holiday cheer with something a little more wicked.
