Enjoy Evansville’s Free Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival October 2nd
The Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival is a fun, free community event that has something for everyone!
Evansville's Lincolnshire Neighborhood
To be totally honest with you, I wasn't familiar with the Lincolnshire neighborhood until I heard about the Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival last year. It turns out the Lincolnshire neighborhood is located from Lincoln to the north, Willow road to the east, Washington Avenue to the South, and Hwy 41 to the west.
I didn't realize it until I looked it up and that area has so much cool history there! So many beautiful homes and buildings make up the historic district. If you get a chance to drive around the Lincolnshire area, it's definitely worth it. Check out this really informative piece on the Lincolnshire area highlighting its historical significance as well as a map so you can take in the beauty of Lincolnshire for yourself too.
Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival
This year marks the 6th annual Lincolnshire Front Porch Festival, and if you have never been, it's an event you definitely won't want to miss. The event will take place rain or shine on October 2nd, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
The event will kick off with free yoga at the triangle of Willow Road and Bayard Park from 1 PM to 2 PM and the live music will start at 2 PM.
Bring a lawn chair and a cooler if you'd like, and when you walk around you can set up to soak in the variety of live music playing. This event is also pet friendly, and kid-friendly! Along with live music, there will also be food trucks set up throughout the event so be sure to bring your wallet! Free parking will be available at St. Benedicts Cathedral Parish, and Bosse High School.
