Everyone has been talking about the recent news that notorious gangster, John Dillinger's body is going to be exhumed. What for, isn't really known yet, but it's speculated that it could be for an upcoming documentary.

The exhumation is scheduled for September 16th at Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.  Dillinger's body is scheduled to be exhumed and reinterred on the same day.  The Indiana State Department of Health approved the permit for the exhumation which was filed by Dillinger's nephew Michael C. Thompson.

According to AP however they may have a hard time with the exhumation as the casket was reburied under a protective cap of concrete and scrap just days after John Dillinger's funeral.  The reason being his father wanted to make sure no vandals or grave robbers would get into the grave.

John Dillinger was known as Public Enemy Number 1 and was a notorious gangster and bank robber whose gang pulled off a string of bank robberies and murders across the Midwest in the 1930s.
