On paper, this weekend’s UFC 167 pay-per-view looks like an amazing card – and I am definitely excited to see it – but history also suggests it could be a big letdown. Keep reading to see what I mean, and to get my preview and predictions.

As I sat and watched the UFC 166 pay-per-view on Saturday night - realizing it was one of the best all around UFC events in a long time - I turned to my bodies and said "I can't wait to see the Phantom Cam footage for this fight!"

This weekend's UFC 165 ended up being a really solid pay-per-view. It had all the things you look for in an event like that - some slick submissions, some brutal knockouts, and one of the best light heavyweight fights in the history of the UFC!

There have been many folks over the years that try to put on MMA shows in the Tri-State, and they all end up being “one and done” – except for Jeff Osborne and the Hook-N-Shoot. These events have been providing live and local MMA fights since 1995 – and you have the chance to experience it this Saturday night!

This really is like nothing we've ever seen before in Evansville. Two days of events that include celebrity meet & greets, a concert, and a night of intense mixed martial arts. It's all happening this Friday and Saturday, August 23rd and 24th!

The “Phantom Cam” is basically a high-speed high definition camera. It reaffirms a few things I already knew…just how violent MMA can be, how tough these fighters are, and how I could never ever do what they will. This really puts fighting in a new perspective for me.

Two things happened this weekend with UFC 162, one expected and one unexpected. The unexpected was Anderson Silva getting knocked out by Chris Weidman…the expected was that my pick was once again wrong.

I am not exaggerating when I say that this weekend you have the chance to see the best MMA fighter in the world…in the history of MMA. His name is Anderson Silva and he his defending his belt at UFC 162 this Saturday night on pay per view.

Another MMA fighter is leaving the Octagon in favor of pro wrestlings' squared circle (and a circular cage, too).  Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson, former UFC Light Heavyweight champion, has signed with TNA Wrestling and Bellator MMA.

UFC Welterweight Champion Georges "Rush" St-Pierre is sharing some of his life experiences and philosophies with the rest of the world in his new book "The Way Of The Fight." It's in stores now, and I was fortunate enough to talk to Georges about the book earlier today.
