
Popular Caramel Cheddar Popcorn Recalled For Peanut Mix Up
A popular sweet-and-savory snack has been recalled after peanuts were found inside bags that didn’t list them on the label.
Why The Popcorn Was Recalled
Jody’s Inc. has issued a nationwide recall of Cabot Creamery Sea Salt Caramel Cheddar Popcorn (6 oz) due to the presence of undeclared peanuts, which is a potentially life-threatening allergen for those with peanut allergies.
Where The Recalled Popcorn Was Shipped
The recalled bags were shipped July 23, 2025, to multiple distribution centers in California, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, North Carolina, Oregon, and Texas before being sent on to retail stores across the U.S., including Indiana and Kentucky.

The recall comes after The Farmer Companies received two complaints from customers who found peanuts in bags of the popcorn. So far, no illnesses or allergic reactions have been reported.
How To Identify The Affected Cabot Popcorn Bags
According to the FDA, ther recall impacts 6 ounce (170 gram) bags of Cabot Creamery Sea Salt Caramel Cheddar Popcorn marked with UPC: 8 50016 94430 6, Lot: 2519907B1, and Best If Enjoyed By: 07/15/2026.
What To Do If You Have The Recalled Product
If you purchased this product, do not eat it if you or someone in your household has a peanut allergy. You may return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or safely discard it.
