Bundle Up! Tri-State Under Wind Chill Advisory Through Tuesday
The Tri-State has been dealing with bitter cold temperatures for the nearly a week, and it seems the worst is yet to come.
The National Weather Service in Paducah, Kentucky has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for our entire listening area through Tuesday afternoon at 12:00 p.m. after forecasting wind chills between "4 below and 12 below zero" Saturday night, and between "10 below and 20 below zero New Years Eve night into early New Years Day."
BRRRRRRR!
In all seriousness, weather this cold can be dangerous. According to the Weather Service, wind chills this cold can cause frostbite to exposed skin in a quickly as 30 minutes. Plus, if you have pets who predominately live outside, bring them into the house, or make sure they have proper shelter with some way to keep warm.
