Let’s Celebrate! Boo Fest Schedule at Diamond Lake in Owensboro

Can you believe that Boo Fest is already here at Diamond Lake Resort? There are so many fun things planned for the entire family. The annual Christmas Wish fundraiser also starts on Saturday.

You know that when October comes around every year, campers unite for some wholesome family fun at Diamond Lake Resort. Many campers take this VERY seriously, from the costume contests to the golf cart parade, and dressing up their campsite at its scariest best. This is the BIG time when it comes to Boo Fest. This year will be no different as families come together to make memories, and raise money for Christmas Wish!

Boo Fest Schedule

There are so many fun things planned during Boo Fest this season and you won't want to miss a single second of it. It's going to be a "spooktacular" good time when the fun begins on Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at 11:00 AM with the pumpkin decorating contest begins. At 1:00 the bicycle decorating contest will get underway with a parade to show off your work. Then, at around 2:00 the ever-so-popular costume contest will commence. Trick-or-treating will get underway at 3:30 and then at 6 PM, the golf cart decorating contest will take place followed by the parade. Judging for the campsite decorating contest will happen at 7 PM share so have those campsites decorated at their scary best.

Then each Friday and Saturday night in October get ready to be scared. Take a walk through the haunted house....if you dare! "Fright Night", voted the best-haunted house in the area, is back with Robby Derrington.

Annual Christmas Wish Fundraiser

Many of you may not know how much Brian and Janice Smith, along with Amy, are part of the Christmas Wish mission. I feel that they like to keep their community service low-key, but they play a HUGE part in making sure that every child in the tri-state gets a visit from Santa every year. Whether, it's volunteering at the Christmas Wish Office, donating items, or encouraging fellow campers to give, they are undeniably an intricate part of Christmas Wish. I'm also blessed to call them my friends.

It's exciting that the annual Christmas Wish fundraiser will be happening the entire month of October as usual during Boo Fest. So many generous campers and visitors drop off toys, coats, and monetary donations and we're so appreciative. This year is no exception. The fundraiser is underway and starting tomorrow you can drop off a new unwrapped toy ($10 value), a winter jacket, or make a monetary donation and you'll have a chance to win a two-night stay at Diamond Lake. You can enter as often as you want to! It's all about helping families in need after all. The drawing will happen on November 1st, 2021.
