A water main break has caused the Evansville Water Sewer Utility to issue a boil advisory for the city's west side. The break took place earlier today on Upper Mt. Vernon Road, according to tweets from EWSU. As a precaution against contaminants, they recommend residents boil all cooking and drinking water for a full five minutes before using and to continue to do so, until further notice. The boil advisory spans the areas area "north of the Ohio River, south of Mill Road, west of St. Joe Ave and east of the Posey County Line."
