Yesterday I gave you the chance to play a little online version of bullsh*t with me. I gave you 3 statements about myself...two of those statements were true and one was false. I asked you to guess which statement was a damn lie.

So here I am now with the results of my poll and to give you the correct answer. If you don’t mind, just bear with me while I explain the true statements and reveal the false one. Of course, if you don’t want to bear with me I reckon you could just scroll down a bit and see what the false statement was.

Statement #1 “I have been to a New Kids On The Block concert”. About 19% picked this one. This statement is TRUE. I believe I was a freshman in high school when I went and saw NKOTB at Market Square Arena in Indy. Now, I could say that the only reason I went was to hang out with my older sister’s hot friends…but that’s not true. Or that I was there on the prowl for some other hot and bothered tweens. Not true either…I wouldn’t have known what to do with it. The fact is I was a fan…and it was a really good show. There, I said it. Listen…you hear that? That’s what little remaining street cred I had making fun of me and then running away.

Statement #2“I have big gnarly scar near my crotch, and have no idea how it got there”. About 33% picked this one. This statement is TRUE and strange. This isn’t some tiny little scar either. This thing is long and wide and deep…without a doubt the biggest scar on my body. It’s like a trench on the back of my leg near my butt. It feels like the type scar you would remember getting. Like…“Remember when that dog was chasing me and I tried to jump over that chain link fence but I slipped and cut the hell out of my crotch? Here, check out the scar it left.” I have way smaller scars on my body that I remember getting…but not this one…and it baffles me.

Statement #3“I have been training MMA for 3 months”. About 48% picked this one...and got it right. This statement is FALSE. I was hoping I would fool some people with this one. If you’ve listened to me enough or read some of my posts about the UFC and MMA, you would know that I am BIG fan of Mixed Martial Arts. So I thought you might believe that I was training in a sport that I loved. Of course if you knew me well at all, you’d also know that I am a BIG weenie…and my fear of being punched in the face outweighs my love of MMA. I do like the notion of simply training in MMA, considering the ridiculous shape those athletes are in…but I don’t think I could ever actually mix it up with another opponent.

So there you have it…my 2 truths and 1 lie. I really appreciate all the folks that took a minute to answer my poll. I reckon I’ll do this same type of thing again in a little while. I gotta come up with a really good lie first.
