Biggest Movie Franchises Of All Time

'Tis the season for blockbuster movies right? I'm a big movie geek, and I get excited every summer at the thought of seeing all these huge movies. Truth be told, I very rarely actually see a movie in the theatre. More times than not, I just wait for it to come to me through Netflix.

This summer we'll see some movies that continue a franchise (X-Men, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Harry Potter, etc)...and some movies that perhaps are the beginning a new franchise (Thor, Captain America, The Hangover).

The folks over at Mania.com have put together their list of the 10 biggest movie franchises ever. From what I can tell, they based this on the number of films in the franchise as well as box office success. Check out their list here. Let me know what you think about their choices. Do you agree?
