Who are the greatest ever X-Men? Over the coming weeks, we’re going to try to answer that question, selecting five X-Men at a time from across the franchise’s long history, and pairing up your votes with the opinions of our own panel of highly opinionated X-Men fans. Your scores will be added to ours to determine the top 100 X-Men. This week, we celebrate two of the wickedest ladies ever to face the X-Men, one of whom went from enemy to ally, and the other from ally to enemy. We also take a look at two of the strangest and most naive X-Men of all time, and one of the most cynical!

Who are the greatest X-Men of all time? Over the coming weeks, as we anticipate the coming of Apocalypse, we're going to try to answer that question, pairing up your votes with the opinions of our own panel of highly opinionated X-Men fans. But before we get to the votes, we wanted to introduce you to our five panelists with a game of Fantasy X-Men. Through a process of draft picking, and drawing from a roster of over 300 eligible characters, we asked each of our panelists to pick the best X-Men team they could put together --- but with the restriction that someone else might grab their favorite character first.

Today, DC Comics revealed the first details on the "Rebirth" that creative heads Geoff Johns, Jim Lee and Dan DiDio had been teasing for the past few weeks. During the annual retailer convention ComicsPRO, DC pulled back the curtain on its plans for the future of its publishing line, including restoring the "legacy" of heroes like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the DCU. Johns, who helmed previous "rebirths" for Green Lantern and the Flash, claimed the linewide switch in creative direction will be a back-to-basics approach, and we'll even see books like Action Comics and Detective Comics return to their original numbering.

Valentine's Day weekend is upon us, and love, bad chocolate, and expensive restaurant reservations are everywhere you look. To mark the occasion, we've compiled a list of the 30 greatest couples in comics. These are the romantic pairings whose stories inspire us to believe in the power of love, and whose devotion to each other may provide a model for how to woo your own beloved when they're cloned, or possessed by evil forces, or you forget their birthday or whatever.

This year's Angouleme was the subject of controversy when the list of creators in contention for the Grand Prix was unveiled, and all 30 nominees were men. The longlist was eventually thrown out in favor of an open vote, which coalesced around three names; Hermann Huppen, Alan Moore, and Claire Wendling. Huppen, known professionally as Hermann, is rumored to have won, despite having said he would decline the award. The controversy prompted some debate about which women should have been in consideration, with the sort of career and longevity that a lifetime achievement award is meant to recognize. Some people have argued that few eligible women exist, but the reality is that women are undervalued, and the extent of their contributions have been overlooked. We've compiled a list of 12 women who deserve recognition for their lifetime of work in comics, but this is just scratching the surface.
