Three scumbags have been arrested after EPD say they found meth making materials near two Evansville schools.

The methheads, Loren Johnson, Leigh Glover, and Rasheen Middleton have all been arrested on meth charges.   When police searched Johnson, they say they found meth, $535 in cash and a syringe. Officers said in the report, Johnson was convicted on meth charged in 2005.

Neighbor Eric Mullen says, "I've seen a lot of traffic in the last couple of days and I've noticed some odor."

Mullen lives across the street where police found the meth making materials Wednesday afternoon. With a 7-year-old son at home, he, like many others, is concerned.

A tip led police to the duplex on Lodge Avenue.

This is one block east of St. Benedict Catholic school, where pre-elementary through eighth students attend. One block to the west is Memorial High School.

Investigators say another disturbing factor is the people who lived on the other side of the duplex didn't know anything was going on.

Police say with the homes so close to each other, neighbors were in danger too. Not to mention, Eric Mullen's son and multiple children walking home from school.

I will be posting my interview with a member of the meth suppression task force next week.  While he will remain anonymous due to his line of work as a vice cop, he can give us some insight as to what to look for if you suspect you live near a meth lab, and more interesting stuff about the poison that is comsuming our community!
