Albion Fellows Bacon Center has been serving victims of domestic and sexual abuse since first opening its doors in 1981. This organization works tirelessly to help those that need their services but right now, the organization needs our help.

What is Albion Fellows Bacon Center?

Albion Fellows Bacon Center is an organization that works as an advocate, providing resources and education to empower victims of domestic and sexual violence. The 501 c3 non-profit serves eleven Indiana counties including Vanderburgh, Warrick, Posey, and Gibson, as well as Pike, Crawford, Dubois, Spencer, Harrison, Orange, and Perry. The organization offers emergency and crisis services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Albion’s services are free and confidential and offered to those impacted by sexual or domestic violence, including human trafficking and stalking. In addition to serving primary victims/survivors, those who have experienced abuse, Albion provides advocacy and support to secondary survivors, those impacted by violence through the abuse of a loved one.

Additional Needs

Sadly, there is a great need for the services offered by Albion Fellows Bacon Center. Its emergency shelter is available to all genders, and their dependent children. This means that there is a never-ending need for even the most basic supplies like shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, socks, underwear, sheets, blankets... anything that you would use at home in your day-to-day life. If you would like to donate, you can find Albion Fellows Bacon Center's Amazon Wishlist here, and its Target Wishlist here. This is the easiest way to donate the needed items as it maintains the anonymity of the shelter's location. Learn more by visiting AlbionFellowsBacon.org.

Disable Notifications for the Annoying @Everyone Tag on Facebook

Facebook recently rolled out a new tagging option allowing users within the platform's community groups to tag everyone within that particular group in a single post using @everyone. If you're like us, the number of random notifications from strangers in groups has become more than a little irritating. Below you will find step-by-step instructions to disable Facebook notifications for the @everyone tag both on the desktop site and in the app.
