A Day to Remember’s ‘Bad Vibrations’ Debuts at No. 2 on Billboard 200 Album Chart
The news is all good for Bad Vibrations. A Day to Remember's latest studio debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 Album Chart and did quite well on other charts as well.
The disc also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales Chart, No. 1 on Billboard's Top Independent Album Chart and also topped the Top Rock Albums and Hard Rock Albums charts. Plus, the disc hit No. 1 on the iTunes Top Album Chart. While settling for No. 2 stateside, Bad Vibrations was No. 1 in Australia and arrived in the Top 10 in both the U.K. and Germany.
The album arrived with 67,000 units, 62,000 of which were made up of pure album sales. Billboard currently counts album streams in the final totals. Only Travis Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight finished with better overall totals for the week.
The band got the ball rolling earlier this year with the high energy track "Paranoia." At the time, the group issued the track as a stand-alone single in advance of their Self Help Festival appearance, not revealing that a new album was on the horizon. But eventually, the disc was announced, and in the lead-up to the album's release, fans have also been treated to the songs "Bullfight," "Naivety" and the Bad Vibrations title track.
"Thank you so much to everyone who picked up a copy of our new record Bad Vibrations," says vocalist Jeremy McKinnon. "We went into this with no expectations and have been completely blown away with the support so far. We can't wait to play more of the material live. Big thanks to The Blasting Room, Andy Wallace, Andrew Wade, Epitaph, and Fly South Music Group for putting up with our s--t, and helping us solidify our biggest release of all time. Having a team that works together is everything. Thank you all."
A Day to Remember are currently in the midst of a North American tour with Blink-182, but the band has dates on the horizon in Australia, Japan and Europe. See all of their scheduled performances here.
