The Princeton Review recently released their annual rankings, and you might me surprised (I was) to see the top party school in the nation.

Spoiler alert: the University of Evansville and the University of Southern Indiana did not make the list.

If you're like me, you might think that schools out west, or down south might top the list each year...someplace like Arizona State, USC or Florida State. But you and I would be wrong.

According to this particular report, the University of Wisconsin-Madison was ranked #1. Really? Yep, and the school in 2nd place is West Virginia University, followed by the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 3rd place. And these aren't even flukey rankings. The University of Illinois was ranked #1 last year!

Why are these schools such big partiers? Maybe because they are located in smaller towns and there's not a lot to do. Who knows. And how does someone judge one school's partying over another? The Princeton Review bases their rankings on student surveys sent out to over 140,000 students at 831 schools. So I guess it's possible that Wisconsin may not actually be the top party school in the nation, but that their students just did a better job filling out the survey.

Hell I don't know. This is just some more useless knowledge that you can share with your friends this weekend when you're reminiscing about your good 'ol days.

Thanks to the Huffington Post for the information.
