Wicked House Fire Keeps Crews Battling Flames All Night

Last night crews battled into the wee hours of the morning working on putting out a fire at 200 block of West Michigan St.  The house was located behind the old Schneider Heating and Air company.

The house was abandoned for quite some time now and a prime target of the Mayor's initiative to rid the city of urban blight. Houses like this wouldn't be set on fire as arson is suspected in this case.  Our aawesome EFD was able to save surrounding homes, and really, that's the important as anything, right?   It was a hellacious blaze as these photos depict.  These pictures come courtesy 14WFIE who was on the scene through out the night.
