Winter has definitely decided to make an appearance in the Tri-State, but it looks like some warmer days are on the horizon!

According to Metro Weather Watch, we could be seeing some of the warmest weather we've seen in over a month this coming weekend (and I cannot stop smiling about this!!) I definitely was not ready for the frigid temps of the last few days, so I'm looking forward to a warm up.

While it's looking like a wet weekend, it's warmer, so I'll take it!

Here's what they had to say on their Facebook:

Good afternoon!

If you're tired of the big chill, you're in luck. Queen Elsa is returning to Arendelle and leaving the Lower Ohio Valley, for a few days at least. We will start warming up tomorrow, and really warm up this weekend to possibly some of the warmest weather we've had in nearly a month. That will, however, be accompanied by increased rain and thunderstorm chances (in fact, rain will be quite likely, as will be possibly some severe weather).

If you LIKE the cold weather, though, early indications are that it will be back later next week, although that is still a ways off. Stay tuned for updates.

While I don't like the last part about cold weather being back next week, I definitely like the idea of a break from the frigid temps!

Now Metro Weather Watch has also added that with a warm up could mean some severe weather:

We are watching for the potential for severe weather late Friday into Friday night in the lower Ohio river valley. Damaging winds would be the main threat. Isolated tornadoes would be possible as well. Heavy rain looks like a good bet. Still some uncertainty as to how this may come together. A lot can change. Stay tuned for updates. -Tony

We will keep you updated as we hear more!

Thank you Metro Weather Watch for the updates!
