The comedic talents of Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg may not always have a guiding hand in AMC’s Preacher, though the pilot more than carried some visceral influence. If you don’t believe us, take it from pair themselves, as AMC released the Preacher pilot with Rogen and Goldberg’s commentary!

You’ll still need a cable provider to access the the episode, though the promise of Rogen and Goldberg’s insight is more than worth it. In the meantime, Preacher will rerun its pilot this coming Sunday, followed by Chris Hardwick’s aptly named Talking Preacher, with new episode “See” bowing on June 5.

For those unfamiliar with the 1990s comic series from Garth Ennis and artist Steve Dillon, AMC’s official description of Preacher reads:

“Preacher” is a supernatural, twisted and darkly comedic drama that follows a West Texas preacher named Jesse Custer, who is inhabited by a mysterious entity that causes him to develop a highly unusual power. Jesse, his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip and an Irish vagabond named Cassidy come together and when they do, they are thrust into a crazy world populated by a cast of characters from Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.

In the meantime, check out our interviews with showrunner Sam Catlin, Dominic Cooper and Ruth Negga, and stay tuned for the latest.
