Sad news out of Oaktown, Indiana, tonight.  Knox County officials say the body of Clinton Hamilton was found early this afternoon.

Sheriff deputies were called to a location one mile of the Wolf Hill Road area near Oaktown.  Someone had called in to report seeing human remains in the field.

Careful investigation matched the remains to those of Clinton Hamilton, 19, who had been missing since December 11, 2011.  At about 4:00 that morning, Hamilton’s truck was found in floodwater on Wolf Hill Road in Oaktown but Hamilton was not in the vehicle.

An extensive search of the area involving divers, air search and rescue, and family members failed to find any trace of Hamilton, until today.

Friday, Hamilton’s family issued a $1000 reward for any information leading to the discovery of their son.

Knox county officials say an autopsy to determine the cause of death is schedule for Monday.  Dr. John Heidinsfelder will conduct the autopsy in Evansville.
