Travelers heading into or out of Evansville by way of Highway 41 North may want to explore alternate routes between now and mid-August.

Beginning today, both north and southbound lanes of 41 will be limited to one lane as crews begin work on installing a new traffic light at the intersection of 41 and Rusher Creek Road, roughly one mile south of I-64 (because what need is another traffic light).

Crews will also be installing a left turn lane on southbound 41 and a pressure sensor.

Rusher Creek Road will be completely closed to traffic from 41, however motorists looking to gain access to the businesses on the road can do that by using Ruffian Lane just north of the 41 and Rusher Creek intersection.
