This Saturday is “Free Comic Book Day”!

Saturday, May 5th, this year’s date for the annual Free Comic Book Day, is almost upon us!!! As always, the Book Broker will be participating giving out a huge variety of free comic books and having Cosplay appearances of a wide range of characters including Spider-Man, a Ghostbuster and a returning bevy of beautiful super heroines and villainesses available for photo ops and autographs!!!

The spotlight on each succeeding Free Comic Book Day has gotten bigger and bigger in the public’s eye and will be even more so this year due to the highly anticipated release of the comic book superhero movie THE AVENGERS on Friday, May 4th, followed by MIB 3 (5/25), THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN (7/6), THE DARK KNIGHT RISES (7/20) and DREDD (9/21)!!! The world of comic books have invaded every aspect of society and entertainment from images on every type of clothing and tattoos to sophisticated video games and digital downloads and Free Comic Book Day is a great reminder of where all this started from – the penciled & inked pulp images vividly dreamed up by creative writers and artists!!!

The Book Broker has always fully participated with each and every Free Comic Book Day since its inception in 2002 and this year will be no exception!!! This year along with the already established free comic books giveaways and live appearances of super hero characters from 12pm to 3pm there will also be a Superhero Costume Contest for Kids 10 and under at 2:30pm!!!
