We're just a little over a week away from the release of 'The Wolverine,' and judging by the trailers, we're in for a much better time than 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine.' This new international TV spot continues the trend of highlighting Logan/Wolverine's trip to Japan, where an old friend promises he can remove the adamantium from our hero's body -- putting his life in more danger than it's ever been.

Although Wolverine might be losing his powers, that's not going to make him any less awesome, especially when he gets a sword in his hand. And Japan opens up a world of fighting possibilities, as well as introducing us to new mutants we haven't met before. We expect to see more this week when 20th Century Fox hosts a panel for the film at Comic-Con 2013, but until then, this new international TV spot is keeping our attention.

Joining Hugh Jackman this time around are Will Yun Lee, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Hiroyuki Sanada, Hal Yamanouchi, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, and Brian Tee.

The official synopsis:

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, this epic action-adventure takes Wolverine (Jackman), the most iconic character of the X-Men universe, to modern day Japan. Out of his depth in an unknown world, he will face a host of unexpected and deadly opponents in a life-or-death battle that will leave him forever changed. Vulnerable for the first time and pushed to his physical and emotional limits, he confronts not only lethal samurai steel but also his inner struggle against his own immortality.

'The Wolverine' hits theaters July 26.
