As 'The Walking Dead' fans patiently await the second half of season 3 to debut on Sunday, February 10 with all-new episode "The Suicide King," the fate of multiple characters already hang in the balance. That said, could the back half of season 3 bring back characters long-forgotten, in addition to the new faces that joined in mid-season finale "Made to Suffer?" Find out what surprise guests could appear in 'The Walking Dead' season 3 inside!

'The Walking Dead' prides itself on a number of twists, turns, deaths and surprising survivals, but the back half of season 3 might see the most surprising reappearance yet. TVLine's Michael Ausiello offered up a few teases of the coming episodes recently, saying "not only will we learn the outcome of the Daryl/Merle showdown, a character you probably never thought you’d see again will put in an appearance, and Rick will do something (literally) everyone has wanted to do at one time or another."

Returning character, you say? Might said appearance be from Morgan (Lennie James), not seen since the series premiere? Rumors have certainly suggested as such, and it would make sense to provide a bit of closure on the character given James' casting in upcoming AMC drama 'Low Winter Sun.' Even then, Morgan wasn't the only character from earlier seasons whose fate was never revealed.

And of course, as Rick's recent hallucinations of both Lori and Shane proved, it isn't out of the realm of possibility for said return appearance to be from a fallen character, but the rumor mill leans more heavily toward Morgan. Fans of the comic will remember that the Morgan character eventually returned there as well, though likely under very different circumstances.

Well, what say you? Do you have any guesses what character from 'The Walking Dead's past will return in the latter half of season 3? Check out the latest trailer below, and give us your predictions in the comments!
