It seems that everywhere you go in this city there's orange barrels.  Tons of construction makes traversing a pain in the ass in our city. Don't get upset with the construction workers though. They are just doing our job.  City planners are the ones who decided to rip up the city street by street.  I suppose it's a good idea to replace old water and gas lines, but what a nightmare for drivers. It's difficult for me to get to work at 5th and Walnut.

Oak Hill Road is probably the most note worthy project the city going on right now

The construction on Oak Hill Road began last spring and will wrap up in two months. The only work left on it  is laying asphalt. Sidewalks and yards that line the road will also be repaired.

Downtown you'll find city construction crews along Sycamore and Vine, Riverside Drive, and Main Street. (everywhere)

Come September traffic will flow both ways on Sycamore and Vine, traffic on Main Street will be reversed, and from Riverside Drive drivers can make a left turn into downtown.

The final project on the city's list is Mary Street. It will be closed from Division to Franklin for two weeks.

Whew!  Reminds of this cool song by Todd Yohn. Drive Safely!
