Iron Man 3 came out yesterday and if you went to see it, you know it was awesome. But once that Iron Man euphoria wears off you’re left with that question of “Well…what’s next?” That’s where I come in. I’ve got the list of all the upcoming superhero movies that you need to know about this summer.

#1. Iron Man 3, In Theaters NOW

If you haven’t seen it, stop what you you’re doing and go see it now. I’ll wait.

Are you back? Okay good. Now you can continue on with this list.

#2.  Star Trek: Into Darkness, May 17th

Now, even though Star Trek isn’t based on a comic book series, it’s still a classic and I consider them “superheroes”. There are a few new additions to the U.S.S. Enterprise crew this time around, such as Dr. Carol Marcus (played by Alice Eve) an the ‘baddie’ John Harrison (played by Benedict Cumberbatch…try saying that name five times fast.) And of course we get the ol' gang back: Captain Kurt, Sulu, Spock, Uhura, Bones, Scotty, Pavel, and even Spock Prime returns! What more could you ask for? Oh, yeah...lens flares.

After watching that trailer, if you decide that you don’t want to see Star Trek: Into Darkness…well, my friend, I would have to say that such a decision is highly illogical.

#3.  Man of Steel, June 14th

Yay, another Superman reboot. I’m going to be honest though, it doesn’t matter how good or bad a reboot of a superhero franchise is…I’m going to go see it. But, judging by the cast list, I think Zack Snyder did something right.  Russell Crowe as Jor-El? Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent? Laurence Fishburne as Perry White? YES PLEASE!

The only thing I don’t like about the cast? No Lex Luthor! WHAT? How can you have a Superman movie with no Lex?

Christopher Nolan helped write the script though, and he is notorious for creating his own worlds and completely ignoring comic book guidelines. So, now I’m not so surprised that he might have completely erased an important character from the Superman franchise. At least we still get General Zod, the OTHER classic Superman bad guy.

#4. The Lone Ranger, July 5th

I feel like I’ve been waiting two years for this film to come out! I’m very excited to see Johnny Depp back on my screen, especially as Tonto, the Lone Ranger’s side kick. I can’t explain to you how excited I am to see this film, so I’m just going to let the trailer speak for itself.

#5. The Wolverine, July 26th

Although I’ve been anxiously awaiting its arrival, once I saw the trailer to the Wolverine I was a little bit disappointed. I mean, it looks good; it just doesn’t look as good as the first one, and it really doesn’t grab my attention that way the first one did. Maybe I’m judging it too soon, maybe not. What do you think?

#6 Kick-Ass 2, August 16th

Jim Carrey is back in comedy business in Kick-Ass 2! Thank you, Jesus. I need something to erase ‘The Number 23’ from my head. Also joining Kick-Ass's new crew: John Leguizamo, Donald Faison, and many more.
