The 3rd Annual “Walk the Runway” To Benefit CASA Is August 15th
103GBF invites you to join Shoe Carnival in supporting CASA, as Shoe Carnival presents the 3rd annual “Walk the Runway” on Friday, August 15, 2014 at Tropicana. Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar as the latest Back to School and fall fashion footwear trends make their way down the runway. This year's fundraiser is striving to reach a goal of $50,000!
CASA, through its volunteer advocates, provides a voice in court for children that have been removed from the care and custody of their parents or guardians by the juvenile court due to abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers speak up for the best interests of those children without the burden of bureaucratic policies or procedures. In 2013, CASA received 693 new cases and CASA volunteers provided over 17,000 hours of service. So far, in 2014, 210 new children have been referred to CASA. Right now, there are 375 abused or neglected children waiting for a volunteer to be their voice! CASA needs your financial support to provide a voice for these needy children.
This is a tremendous opportunity to help improve the lives of children in our community who need a voice. CASA is the organization providing children a voice when they need it the most.
