The 32nd Annual Little Thunder Regatta Is Coming in June!

River City Racing Club of Evansville is holding it's 32nd annual Little Thunder Regatta
June 22nd and 23rd 2013.

This event takes place at Eagle Crest Lake at 1-164 and the Lloyd, behind Cheeseburger in Paradise, Cracker Barrel...yeah you know the lake I'm talking about.
Open Water June 21st from Noon till 5pm.  Racing is Saturday and Sunday June 22nd and 23rd.  It's a fun event featuring scaled down model hydroplane style remote control boats.  This year, the event benefits Mended Little Hearts of Evansville.  This organization provides hope & support to children, families, & caregivers impacted by a congenital heart defect in order to extend and improve the quality of life.  Find out more about Mended Little Hearts of Evansville by clicking here.

It's a lot of fun to watch this event.  I've caught it a couple of times in the past.  It's the closest thing we have to hydroplane racing in this town anymore!
