I was on the air on 103GBF yesterday when the sky turned black and the weather warnings rolled in.  For about 15 minutes there around 2:15 or so, it was looking pretty rough from my view out the studio window in downtown Evansville.  About 2:30 I got a call from my daughter Kelcey, who was at the house, telling me the storm and it's accompanying high winds split the tree in our front yard.

This is the same tree that my late wife Andrea told me should be cut down as a similar event had happened last Spring... She and I ended up renting a chainsaw and cutting that fallen part of the tree up.  I should have listened to her and cut the damn tree down.  You can bet this weekend, I'll be repeating last Spring's chainsaw rental and buzzing up the part of this year's downed limbs. We're lucky it fell between the house and a yard lantern and really didn't hit anything.  Ah, such is the life of a homeowner.  Maybe now, it is time to cut that tree down!   At least I'll have fun this weekend, chainsaw in hand and a reason to wear this again...
