Supernatural Gives Subtle Shout-Out to Jeffrey Dean Morgan and The Walking Dead

No one tell Negan, but Lucille was on another show last night...

Before Jeffrey Dean Morgan was Negan on The Walking Dead, he played Sam and Dean's dad John in the first 2 seasons of Supernatural. His character, along with Sam and Dean, hunted supernatural things and killed them. So, it's no surprise that when Jeffrey was cast as Negan, the cast of Supernatural was happy for him, but it didn't escape their minds that Negan is just John Winchester + Zombie apocalypse. So they joked about Negan actually being Sam and Dean's dad in an alternate reality, or John being brought back from the dead in the near future and becoming Negan....They supported all kinds of fan theories connecting John Winchester to Negan.

The entire twitter conversation was the highlight of 2016 for me. But little did we know that this wasn't the last time we'd see Lucille on Supernatural...

On last night's episode "Somewhere Between Heaven and Hell" Lucille made her first on-screen cameo, with Dean subtly confirming the "Negan is our dad" fan theories.

"Man, dad loved this thing..."

While I very much enjoyed Lucille's cameo...you better get her back to Negan...Sons or not, he doesn't like it when people touch his things...
