It's true that it takes a lot of effort to make an honest living in the world today.

It's also true that sometimes you work harder at being a criminal, especially when you're a moron.

That brings us to a man named Christopher McGlauflin and his story of stupidity.

Early Monday morning, police were called to the McDonalds on Old Business 41 (or Fares Ave as it's more commonly known) in Evansville in reference to a possible break in.

When workers arrived later that morning, they found both doors on the south side of the building had been broken out and a large landscaping rock was laying on the floor inside. A-Ha!

Officers watched the security video, which showed a man breaking in around 2:30 in the morning.

The burglar first tried to take one of the cash registers, but was unsuccessful. He then grabbed several yogurt parfaits out of a refrigerator before running out of the building.

Yes...he stole yogurt!

One of the officers on the scene identified the burglar as Christopher McGlauflin. He had a run in with McGlauflin the previous night, and believed he could have been in the area.

At that point, police noticed the suspect walk by the front door. What timing!!!

The detective approached him and put him in handcuffs.

Officers say that the yogurt thief was covered in pieces of glass that appeared to be from the broken windows on the doors. He also had cuts on the back of his neck.

He was arrested and taken to the Vanderburgh County Jail on the charges of burglary, theft, and criminal mischief.

Fortunately, he was unable to achieve the status of Ham-burglar!
