Songs to Ring in the New Year With

What's the first song you want to hear when the ball drops?

Sometimes I like to find the perfect song to ring in the New Year with. Like, as soon as the clock hits 12:00a, I'm hitting play on a song I hope is going to get me pumped for the rest of the year.

But this year people have gotten more clever and changed the game up. You don't have to listen to the BEGINNING of a song at 12:00a. You can start the song early and time it just right that a certain lyric or guitar riff is the first think you hear at midnight.

Example:

If you play Evanescence's "Bring Me to Life" at 11:59:08, the first thing you'll here when the clock strikes 12 is "WAKE ME UP! WAKE ME UP INSIDE! I CAN'T WAKE UP!"

You could also do Miley Cryus' "Wreckingball" at 11:57:10 and at midnight and ring in the Ne Year with "I CAME IN LIKE A WRECKINGBALLLLLLL!!!"

Or go with Phil Collins "In the Air Tonight" at 11:56:20 and rock out at midnight with that awesome drum solo.

Or you could just go really somber with Disturbed's remake of "The Sound of Silence" and start it at 11:59:51. The first thing you'll hear in 2018 will be "Hello darkness my old friend...." (If you want to do the Simon and Garfunkel version it's 11:59:57)

You can apply this to any song this New Years! All you need is math!

Personally, I might go with AC/DC's "Big Balls" at 11:59:23 and rock into the new year with "I'VE GOT BIG BALLS"

But that's just me.
