Smile Empty Soul have been on a creative high, recently issuing their new 'Chemicals' album just over a year after their 2012 release, '3's.' Keeping the momentum going, the band is promoting the new single 'False Alarm' and Loudwire is bringing you the exclusive premiere of the song's video (watch above).

In keeping with their DIY attitude, Smile Empty Soul kept the promo in its simplest form, choosing to use a blistering live performance to help sell the song. Opening with some deep trudging bass lines from Ryan Martin and cymbal-heavy drumming from Jake Kilmer, the track opens into a solid and instantly memorable rocker led by frontman Sean Danielsen's equal parts catchy and melodic vocals.

Danielsen told Loudwire exclusively of the performance captured in the video, “The ‘False Alarm’ video was really fun to make since it was shot live at our CD release party at The Machine Shop in Flint, Mich. That's always been a home away from home for us, so it's great to see the experience that we know so well translated in the video for our new single!”

As previously mentioned, 'False Alarm' turns up on the 'Chemicals' album, which is currently available via both Amazon and iTunes. If you like what you hear in the video, you'll want to catch Smile Empty Soul performing 'False Alarm' on the 'Merican Chemicals' tour. The band's current headlining tour runs into mid-December and the full itinerary can be seen below.
