Congrats to Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who was honored Wednesday night (June 18) in Chicago for his work with the youths of the Windy City.

According to NBC Chicago, Corgan was saluted by the Illinois State Crime Commission with the "Jesse White Award" at a ceremony in Oak Brook, Ill. He received the honor along with brothers Gabe and Jacques Baron for their continued commitment to helping Chicago's children through their Resistance Pro Wrestling organization.

The three men partnered to create Resistance Pro in 2011 and shortly after the organization was launched, they created an outreach program for Chicago's youths, aimed at helping them maintain a positive attitude.
