Back in the mid 1990's we started playing a song called "All For You" by Sister Hazel, a band out of Gainesville, FL.  The really cool thing is, and you might remember this, is that we brought them in for a 103GBF Club Show at The Duck Inn on Pollack (Now Closed). When they hit town, their single "All For You" hit #1 on the Rock and Top 40 charts.  Needless to say the show at the Duck that night was a-hole to elbow.  It was a fun, larger than life kinda night. Between now and then Sister Hazel has put out 13 Albums, the latest being "Lighter In The Dark."  A lyric from that song written by vocalist/guitarist Drew Copeland goes like this.

“I’m just a kid from Gainesville watching Petty with my lighter in the dark,”

Probably the best band I can compare Sister Hazel to is The Eagles. A little rock with a twinge of Country and Roots Rock mixed in.

The band returns to Evansville for a show on June 2nd at Backstage Bar and Grill on Main Street Downtown. They'll play the hits and plenty of new stuff as well. Get your advance tickets for this show on The Backstage Bar and Grill website here and also on their Facebook events page here.

Below a couple of videos to get ya warmed up a bit for the show.  On top, their first hit, and below their latest, followed by my interview with singer Drew Copeland.
