Shy women may have duller sex lives than party girls.

A recent study published in the latest edition of the journal Sexual Medicine entitled ‘Is Female Sexual Dysfunction Related to Personality and Coping’, indicates that introverted or shy women seem to have worse sex lives than their more sociable counterparts.

Researchers examined women undergoing treatment for various sexual disorders, and tested them on personality -- extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, emotional stability, and openness to experience -- ability to cope, and sexual dysfunction.

What they discovered was that shy women appeared to be less open to having new experiences and often felt much more pain and suffering in regards to their particular sexual disorders. However, women that were able to manage their stress with the help of support from a partner experienced better orgasms and an overall higher level of satisfaction.

Researchers say that more studies need to be conducted to properly understand the correlation of personality and sexual dysfunction. I say shy girls just need to drink more booze – it’s been helping people have sex since around 10,000 B.C.
