This afternoon, USI and Albion Fellows Bacon Center will host the annual "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event. Men from around the community and the USI campus will strap on a pair of heels for a one-mile trek through campus. In attendance this year are Chief of Police, Billy Bolin and Prosecutor, Nick Hermann. According to Wendy Bredhold via the USI website, "This event raises awareness of rape, sexual assault, and gender violence. Speaking this year will be local advocate Beth Baro, who will speak about her college experience with a roommate who was killed by a dating partner, and Candy Schmidt, a local survivor." Registration for the walk begins at 5 p.m. outside the Liberal Arts Center, and the walk begins at 5:30 p.m.
